Bitey that’s all well and good but you honestly don’t know how many times I’ve been the last to find out about changes. Point in case, having a map arbitrarily added to the rotation that you KNEW had problems. That’s a second one, need I go on? I can if you really want to push the issue. Stats were also reset arbitrarily.
EDIT: Also add to this the “server updates” made by Liam that he’ll only tell me over MSN as “they’re not relevant to anyone else”. It would have been nice if I had been told about this at least before the changes went into effect. Also, if lag is down by “85%” and “registration is vastly improved” I think everyone would like to know why.
And spare me the heroics about protecting the players. All I asked was to privately test and configure the anti-cheat before risking it on the main server. Not only is that a MUCH safer practice, it’s also what professional server admins do in real life with real production servers. If you knew anything about the professional administration of servers you’d know this. I had no problem with running an anti-cheat program, my desire was simply to ensure that regulars had as little interruptions or problems as possible. How hard is it to test something before potentially running off players? I mean really, look back at the posts, all I ever asked for on this was more time to test.
I have no desire to be apart of an operation that hap-hazardly installs modules onto their servers with absolutely no testing as this is the most guaranteed way to kill a server. So you got lucky this time. You certainly didn’t the last time a major module was installed and it was my hope you’d have learned from that. Obviously not.
Anyways, best of luck to whoever gets CL next and GLHF with the micromanaging you’ll endure. I hate to be so negative but I can’t remember any CL being completely overridden with as little discussion as I just did and it’s something I won’t tolerate or let slide. If I can’t have complete control over a server that’s supposed to be mine I don’t want any control at all.
Obviously I was doing a good job, why couldn’t you simply let me continue to do so? Did it ever occur to you that I was using the same sound judgement on this issue as I had on every other?
