(or i would) its not normal when i ping 260 to atlanta servers. hmmm… and i know for a fact its the port numbers the servers run on.. trust me.. if you get your vent port changed to 27015, and connect to a cod server that uses port 27015, u will never spike. that is also the cs standard port, the reason for cs not lagging. if the network administrators can understand that somehow port 27015 runs smoothly through the network and not other ones we would be fixed… but i guess its too complicated. see how port 27015 flows through the network rather than port 28960. to sum it up, it has to do with the ports and allowing certain limited bandwidth to go through the oddball ports such as various vent ports and the cod standard port, 28960. %-6
It’s not the fact I don’t believe you are getting high ping or the fact that you know what you are talking about. We are trying to help networking figure out the solution to this problem. Networking did something to my port so I am not experiencing any of the same problems with vent and CoD. At any time I can use either and never experience any problems with lag.
