Personally, I’ve done the same thing. Aimed where I thought I should be aiming and on occasion done pretty well (might have even been 3 headshots), and… on occasion, not. I can’t 100% see the validity behind a ban based on a demo that seemingly cannot be seen as 100% or atleast 99% conclusive. If it had been me in Sushi’s situation, everyone would have had a great laugh and that would be it, because unlike Sushi I’m crap the rest of the time.
Personally, I’d love to catch Sushi hacking – as it would greatly benefit my kill:death ratio to do so. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to see anything I could pin down as hacking from Sushi, and if he is/was wall hacking etc I wouldn’t need a flash demo to confirm it. Same as with Enduro and a number of other players who out perform beyond what I would like to see as the limits of my own potential.
Is a shame that Sushi feels the way he does, and that his reluctancy to fight based on his past experiences and preceived future ones can be construed negatively as guilt. We’ll never know whether guilt is the reason, because in my mind, as I’m sure is the same for quite a few people, headshots while flashed doesn’t unilaterly mean hacking. Especially with the lack of total consistency between demos and client end gameplay, and the fact that not everyone panics and sprays when flashed, knowing that sometimes remaining calm, collected and accurate is the best option.
Everyone saw the demo and it was pretty conclusive.
