I want to make the argument that Iron-fisted fathers tend to be a global phenomena rather than just with Asians, cept I don’t feel like rehashing stories of my childhood. I feel like I can tell a story of insane frugal behavior to disciplines involving the “peter-beater” that would display your guy’s fathers as well. (yes i called toranky a guy)
I may just be drawing some parallels between each experience while oblivious to the nuances but I guess I see things as universal rather than separate by a social construct.
