But on the topic of NPR, I don’t think i’ve ever tuned in even when they had a more middle of the road stance (if that’s what you want to call it). Irregardless, i think it has little or nothing to do with their stances, and more to do with the economy, people are on a tight budget, and just can’t afford to donate like they did before.

And the flooding…i just got back from Memphis, and FEMA had hundreds and hundreds of 18 wheelers lined up to get supplies to take to Nashville. Just because it doesn’t make the news, doesn’t mean *edited* isn’t getting done. Probably the opposite, *edited* is getting taken care of, therefore, nothing bad to report. But it was reported, many times. I guess Texas gets better news than you all. ha

True enough about NPR but one of the reasons conservative talk radio does so well is because its listeners actually use the goods and services of its advertisers, hence the advertising revenue gradually increases. If NPR offered a service worthy of donating to or being sponsored people and organizations would do so. Economy or not, it’s still that simple IMO.

Yeah, 2 weeks after Katrina they had just as many FEMA trucks there too. FEMA takes 3-5 days to respond, it’s just how they operate. I’m ok with that. Geographically speaking you can’t expect that amount of resources to arrive any faster. Tennessee wasn’t nearly as costly in terms of life because when forecasters said “GTFO that floodplain” the people actually left. As opposed to “Dude WTF you live in a bowl GTFO NAO!” and the people not leaving. That and they didn’t shove the evacuees into a giant stadium. Or let a large fleet of busses get flooded without so much as considering them as an evacuation option.

So WTF is up with Starcraft 2 costing $60? I mean it’s got a huge SP campaign but it sucks to see that this is becoming a new trend. Once EA starts doing *edited*, even if it’s wrong, everyone else follows.
