Pedobear is one of the more famous and long running 4chan memes, probably because he was stolen from the Japanese-language 2ch, where he was originally called Kuma (literally; “Bear”. Oh those imaginative Japanese!). While Kuma was generally lecherous, Pedobear is the mascot for 4chan’s legion of slavering pedophiles, specifically targeting prepubescent girls (or “loli”).
