If you have a Mac, over at http://www.macsales.com (it’s actually a site called Other World Computing), there are EyeTV units from Elgato that (except for the new Elgato EyeTV Hybrid 2009 version, at least for now) should work on the PC end of things. Yes they are external units, but the EyeTV 250 Plus (which has a Hauppage or similar equivalent on the PC side) basically has all the hardware encoding inside the unit, which takes a lot of stress off of your CPU.
