Once the first model is released the other manufacturers will reverse engineer what’s needed to make their own. MS chose Madcatz because they are the absolute best at copying gaming hardware and having them out of the competition delays the copiers 4-6 months.
I wouldn’t really buy a non-official headset until Logitech or Plantronics release one. If you’re going to spend $50 you might as well get a brand that’s worth a *edited* lol
