Maybe so but Acer’s 23% 3-year failure rate is kinda, meh, especially when Dell and Apple are both around 18%. I’m not so sure I believe the study though, it says Asus, Toshiba and Sony are more reliable than Dell and puts HP as the least reliable 
IMO, any laptop you spend more than $500 on needs at least a 2 year warranty. You’ll probably be using it
