SpectatorSo I took a look back at the way Oh Malley was running previous Halo tournies and saw that he was using MLG settings. I figured the same would apply here.
Here is a list of the latest MLG settings for Halo 3 4v4 tournaments (Though we could still possibly be playing 3v3 depending on turn out).

Since we have never run Call of Duty 4 before I am open to suggestions. Do you all think MLG settings would be the way to go here as well? Or should we try something else? Since teams may be hard to manage due to the player constraints on the Xbox (only one person per box) we may not be playing teams, but instead some form of free for all.
Questions, comments, suggestions?
Post here.

SpectatorNot sure. I think we may have an issue with CoD4 because when playing system link only 1 person can play on an x-box. This means for a 4v4 tourney we need 8 x-box’s 8 TV’s and 8 copies of CoD4. I just bought one off of Oh Malley, and I’m working on getting another guy on my hall to come to the LAN so thats possibly two x-box’s and two CoD4’s but that is far from 8. and getting 8 TV’s for the tourney may also be a problem, I think we only had 5 at the last LAN. But I’m sure that MLG settings would be alright.

SpectatorI might be able to help out, I can probably be able to bring 4 copies of COD4. I just finished up playing MLG and Gamespot Tournaments, MLG is much better but they play with a 7.5 respawn timer that might be a little much for a 3v3

SpectatorTV Xbox360, CoD4, Halo3, R6V2, PGR3, GH2. I’ll beg Justin about his router so we’ll have linkage. OH, and I’ll bring the randomizer woot. Also trying to get my neighbor down the hall (not oh malley) to bring his xbox and CoD4

SpectatorFor Halo 3, if we do use the MLG maps as the settings suggest I was curious how we make sure all the XBox’s have it. Can someone share it and just do a mass download perhaps?
I tried to work this out myself, but if you saw my other thread awhile ago about figuring out the whole deal it didnt exactly work out.

SpectatorAll the maps should work except for the Foundry variations. However, if you can hook them up to Live (which I have in the past), you can go into the marketplace and download the Heroic map pack, now that it is free.

SpectatorOkay, we’ll see if we can’t sort that out when the time comes then.
