I’m with Liam on the new maps from fpsbanana. Unfortunately my current obligations won’t permit me to take the time to look for and test some, but I hope something can appear in the rotation that is new.
I also agree with Angel that the rotation might be too long. One of the things about our current rotatation is that there is a lot of variation, but you know that not too long from the current time you wil be able ot get back a map you like – if there are ones you don’t like.
Someone made the comment about the sets of maps that might kill the server (as a set, not indivudually) I think it is wise to address this issue.
Looks pretty good. Seems like it will be a longer rotation than before. I am with Yahoo about Train – at the least I don’t think it should be a full 20. Also I kind of hate to say this, but where is Deagle? I think a 10 minute deagle is appropriate. The main reason people complain about it is because of their score. Most of the time this map holds a decent population.
That’s just my $.02.
Prodigy has a tank room in upper T side. CT has a long hall to camp on one side, and a bunker outside to camp the T’s other exit.
I say no on prodigy (although it can be fun with a good balance, as is the same with Militia). I don’t think we should have a lot of 10 minute maps, just seems excessive.
Havana and chateau are fun. I would love new maps, but people are scared of maps they don’t know. They immediately say a map is bad if they can’t figure it out. I don’t know, confusing maps are fun, they can lead to more team play and more strategy – even on a pub.
Yeah i noticed the same thing last night on piranesi. It is the T’s buy 4-4. It is the equivalent to the AUG. And it is currently restricted.
Love the detail they went to – you can also see a Heavy’s adam’s apple – i failed to get the screenshot for that one though.
Rock Band – it have a few shots – but it was hard to get.
I don’t play 1.6, but westwood is a great map, and should be in the rotation, even if it is only for a short period of time (duration of map).
DISNEY WORLD!!!! I leave on Saturday (so tomorrow techincally) and then don’t get back until the Thursday after Christmas. So that will be really fun, but I will miss my sauce, but I’ll be at the Happiest Place on Earth – so not much of a loss. Then just a week or so after that and then start a real job, booo. Real World Scares the *edited* outta me.
Congrats #5! I got married over break two years ago. Wedding was Jan. 6th. We did the honeymoon in Disney. HA! three years in a row to disney. Woot!

I just bought it, so you will see peanut as a noob on TF2 Soon. And I just finished my exams, so I have a week to break it it, then off to DisneyWorld for Christmas!!!!!

Anyway, I was kinda looking forward to wii music, but this has convinced me to rent it at best. I still have WiiSports in the drive. I have like 3 other games, but wiisports is what I do.
Since when does sauce smell like poo? Last time i checked it was roses and daisies. If you have a nasal gland out of whack, you should probably get that checked out.
Those are some pretty high up people replying. I was totally expecting regs (non-admin, non-exec) to reply. Guess Sauce is a little bit more talkative?
I must clarify. I love chateau. However, I think I recall chateau getting back into the rotation last winter or spring. It was on the rotation for about a month, and then was pulled. It was put on at the same time that that changing-hostie map was on. Can’t remember the name of it – its a dark map, and hosties can be rescued in like 20 seconds if the walls are right. Anyway, I think that chateau was put in the rotation and then pulled for lack of interest.
I could be wrong, and it might be worth having in the rotation.
Also – bring Corse back! HA!
Just a comment: We have tried bringing tides, havana, chateau, and russka back before – and they all kill the server – as in everyone just leaves. The maps are good, but only a few people truly like to play them.
Trying new maps is great. The Paris one looks fun, and I hope to see the fort one as well soon.
The only problem with new maps is that people suck and run away from them, without even giving them a chance. We will see, but I think they need to be tried out when the server is full, and hopefully people will stick around. Maybe give them an announcement (with vote) saying that we will be going to a new map for the server or something.
