    AMD used to spank Intel. In fact, Intel used to be AMD’s biatch. Not many people that I know of that overclocked randomly pulled their heatsinks off in game. While I have fried AMD chips doing really stupid things with them, I’ve never seen one start smoking or reach 300 degrees C.

    Just fyi this was back before amd had sensors that would automatically shut down the computer on overheating… trust me the current versions would never do this. It wa all meant for a little fun…

    *cough* my new computer runs AMD, and I ain’t had a single reason to look back…

     

    … plus with just a basic heatsink (no fan, nothing fancy, no liquids) it runs 20c cooler than my intel one did with the friggin thermaltake blue orb II (you shoulda seen that motha with the stock heatsink… it was bad.)
