SpectatorI think it was the images causing it to load slowly … not the new forum posts. As for it bringing clutter the idea behind this theme is to look like wcu and the current one doesnt look as much like the wcu page as the old one. It needs some reworking. I am not saying that it doesnt resemble the master page of wcu, but it does not match. I could tell its a ripoff. If we did the load bar images in css and reorganized some of the background images on the old theme, it would load just as fast. Wouldn’t you say so gxti?

SpectatorThe only major difference is the shadow effect, and you don’t even notice unless you’re flipping back and forth. As for mircstats, that would involve setting up a logging bot (or using someone’s IRC client) and adding another cronjob to aphrodite, and it’d really just be for *edited*s and giggles anyway.

SpectatorNo offense, but the new one, as compared to the old one, in looks. Well, you would have to compare a Crown Vic to a Ferrari to see what I mean:)
The one I made perfectly matched the main WCU page.
Although with the new forum skin thats being worked on, and yes its being worked on, you have to take into consideration that I have a 8-5 job, so I can’t be buggered to work on it the second I come home lol. I usually work on it on the weekends. As I was saying, Kuros may choose to have a new skin for the main site (wordpress) made to match the new forums skin:)
In fact, I know he will.

SpectatorGxti it can’t be that hard. Part of the job “webmaster” in my creation was the idea of giving to the gaming club exec’s tools that they can use to make decisions. I think that the Mirc page has great potential. As to the other statistical pages such as the “about us” server stats pages and psychostats. They along with the forums proves to any doubtfull eyes that the WCU gaming club is a living breathing organization. Something that may be *edited*s and giggles in your eyes, but if you can prove traffic to game server sponsors you can get them to help in times of need. Its great for reasons sponsors should sponsor you.
You have been in this club long enough to know how it works. Just listen to the ideas, confirm that there is a need for them and do what your asked, or ask someone to help you get it done.
As for the new forum and worpress themes. They are 2nd on simpweb’s priority list . Raven and I are going to have them done soon enough, however I would like to bring up the option of Joomla as the CMS for the main page, because the use of a Bridge for users and Groups with IPB. WordPress is a good CMS, but we need to clean up integration. The Groups on the website should be the same every where you go. We have integrated the admins and website right? Lets take it farther. Joomla is a really easy thing to work with, and it will allow us to sell stuff online also. Really easy store setup that I have done with other sites.
Hey, stop standing around. Lets get this work done.

SpectatorI fully support a full featured Content Management System, such as Joomla/Mambo (same *edited* thing lol), as opposed to a blogging platform (yes, blog platform lol) like wordpress:)
Joomla ftw.
Also, for Joomla, theres already a bridge for IPB. Plus plugin making for it is seamless and offensively easy.
