Selling my old copy of Windows xp pro x64. Includes original CD, original CD case, and product key sticker. $50 or best offer.
Edit: also included is a PPA USB2.0 + 1394 Combo PCI Card, Model 1509
You’ll also need to state how many times it’s been activated and what type of copy it is (OEM, Retail, volume).
Also be aware that certain copies can only be sold in certain ways, IE OEM copies must be sold with a computer.
I think it is retail, came with my old computer, and it has been activated no more than two times, 1 initial install and 1 reformat

Thats an OEM System Builder License. There is such a thing as a normal OEM (Non-System Builder) License though. 😛

I didn’t think about that but I’m not sure how different the rules are. My understanding was once a sticker was attached to a computer case it was supposed to stay with that computer. Could very well be different though.

The key word there is “supposed” but really it doesnt matter if you are just moving it to another machine you own (IMO) BUT selling it is a different matter. Sorry Chris.

well I suppose he could sell it with a computer then the buyer “gives” back the computer for free or something along those lines but that is really pushing it i think.
but its the internets and microsoft has a fantastically large population of slave machines trolling it to watch for OEM license infringements

Not to completely destroy this thread, but western sells a 32 bit and 64 bit package deal for just $10. Fantastic deal. I’ve bought a few so far.
