This should settle it once and for all. I would rather use Vent myself, now that we have admin access again. You guys decide once and for all. The server that you guys decide to go with will be it. The other server will be either killed, or the Gaming Club channels removed (dependant on outcome).

Also, teamspeak is hosted on-campus, so it doesn’t disappear when the internets go down, and it works on linux, for all those people who use it. i.e., me. Contrary to popular belief, teamspeak is not inferior voice quality.

Vent hands down. Everyone I know uses it.

Eh, I’d rather try to pull off both, if that is feasible. At the very least, after seeing the internet do it’s funky dance like it did earlier, I am agreed teamspeak would be at the very least a good failsafe in the same way the local irc could be. Plus, for when I am running linuxes, teamspeak is much less painful. Vent takes some 2nd-level configuration, emulation, etc. etc. Teamspeak is a simple installer. Still, in the end I am not saying I am against vent, it actually picks up on my MOUSE5 out of the box :P. IF we have the capacity, I’d say Vent gets the primary mention and Teamspeak is there as a backup / failsafe.

Vent is much more efficient…you know everyone has it, and you don’t have to worry about people getting *edited*y about a new program.

The people have spoken. I dont know why you even put up the vote lol, the people make their opinion known before that
