It’s interesting though that this story isn’t well publicized. When Bush was in office this sort of story made the front page on every newspaper in the country. Odd how when Obama is elected the Iraq stories get burried.

I didn’t say the soldiers were perfect. I didn’t say I expected them to be perfect, where did you get that? I said thats what happens to people when you could die at any minute. Especially when theres really no need to be there.
No one really cares about the war anymore. It’s old news. It would have been big news a couple years ago, but nows its just news. People have gotten used to this kind of thing. I really think this is a *edited*ty thing, but its the way she goes.
Theres more important things in the world as well. Like the environment and the economy.

It’s irresponsible.
Regardless of whether or not you think the war was right, will you at least admit that when we started winning it the media shifted away to hide Bush’s success?

Well, that may be the case. I’d be lying if I said no, because I didn’t really follow it too much, paid attention to it here and there. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.
But, theres still Fox. They’re the most republican-biased media outlet in the US (as far as I know). They twist their words and do shadier things than the more liberal outlets.

NYT is hilarious btw and I don’t think its really a question of who is the most biased it is a question though of who you watch. If you only watch Faux news or only CNN then you arent getting the whole picture.

Versus Obama not wanting the war? You wouldn’t blame someone who didn’t want the war to begin with for something like this. do you not see the connection there? Plus you can only pull out so fast…(thats what she said rofl)
stepping away from media bias for a moment, ask any psychologist and/or psychiatrist, prolonged exposure to war will cause some serious mental damage. Just another reason on the long list of reasons to gtfo of Iraq. Afghanistan and Pakistan won’t help tho =/ *sighs*

They stopped as soon as the Democrats had the power to stop the war but lacked the political will to do it.

May 31, 2009 at 1:34 am #86004lockEm
SpectatorObama is increasing it? I’d like to see a quote/source for that. Not that its really hard to believe or anything.
I don’t mean to come off as one of those “OMG !$*!@($*@!$(@!($@! OBAMA$W@!I$@!” fans, but Obama is a breath of fresh air compared to that drunken redneck Bush. I lean, to da left, to da left, but don’t condemn anyone who doesn’t think the same way as me.
