SpectatorHi, I’m Andy and I am a Student Computing Coordinator at WCU. I just thought I’d pop in and mention that I gave a plug for the WCU gaming club on the most recent episode of the Student Computing podcast. If you’d like to hear it, go to http://itunes.wcu.edu and log in under class login. After it opens iTunes, look for student computing. The title of the episode is called “Variety pack”. I hope to keep a good relationship between ResNet and the gaming club. I’m here to help, so let me know if you need anything.

why’s it not available to the public?I actually just sent an email asking if it could be made available in the public section. I don’t know what they’ll say, but it’s definitely out of my hands. We’ll see. Thanks for the support, and I hope to return the favor!
I have to publish another podcast soon. Anybody have any suggestions on a topic?

Yeah, honestly I wish it were available outside iTunesUniversity as just a normal podcast with an RSS tether. It would be nice if we didn’t force people to use iTunes. I dunno about you guys, but I’m not a fan on iTunes on windows.

SpectatorUpcoming LAN if it isn’t already mentioned. And the usual Saturday events over in Central would be worth a mention.
Also.. what about mentioning the various gaming servers we have on campus?

SpectatorYea, if you could, definitely mention the Saturday get together’s because me and a few other people are trying to get the word out about the gaming workshops for some of the games that will possibly be at the LAN

SpectatorGood feedback guys. I’ll see what I can work in. I will need an actual topic though rather than make announcements for the gaming club. Some of my previous topics have been:
Skydrive
Free Stuff that the university provides
Fake Antivirus Programs
Internet Services
Got anything else that the common (not necessarily IT oriented) student would enjoy hearing?

I might have to look in to that… The blog thing would be fun, but i’d never get away with it. Darn superiors.. always telling me what I can and can’t do.

SpectatorMight be dangerous but how about some mention of how to upgrade your computer’s RAM? Nothing fancy; send them to crucial’s website and show them how they can typically just pop open a panel on the bottom of their laptop and put it in (or see us for help). And explain how more RAM can speed up your computer, stuff like that. Not sure if that is really something you want to cover but just an idea.
