Personally I see no issue with having smoke grenades on maps like awp_dust and fy_iceworld, but I want to see what you guys think/want. Should we not allow them just like with flashes? or just leave it?
Well, I don’t mind them that much as long as it’s not being spammed. If they only bought one and used it, that’s fine. I don’t want to deal with someone who bought five smokes in the beginning of the round and smoked the same spot, so he can hide in the corner and wait for someone to come along so he can knife them.
Honestly, its just stupid. You could limit the nades to one per person per round, but if everyone throws a smoke, a lot of peoples computers will DIE. Don’t allow it, its just retarded. Same with flashes.
the thing is people spam nades/flashes/smokes if they can buy them, and its really hard to police because so many people do it. my vote is for guns only

it really easy to modify the maps config to only allow people to buy certain guns/equipment. I highly suggest this happen for whatever is restricted.
I think it is a dumb idea..people will abuse it and will lag the server hardcore..allow it on normal maps..not on maps like that..just knife, awp, pistol and HE on awp maps..keep it simple…Loot. (also, just main gun, pistol, knife and HE on fight yard maps like iceworld…)
I just want to add that personally, I play with only whatever gun is on that map and a pistol (whatever I spawned with or I’ll buy another one). I prefer it this way. BUT if we allow nades, I don’t mind it as long as it doesn’t get ridiculous. (Note: I buy nades out of habit, but I don’t really use them. If I do, I usually do it I think I legged someone or if they’re the last person alive.)
Like Dice said we can change the set up to where it will not allow smokeums and flashes. But also since we do not allow nade spamming, you guys could just as easily give them an hour off everytime they do that and quickly ppl will not be so eager to spam.
but the general feeling im getting is that u wanna restrict all smokums and flashes, which isnt a problem.
A lot of times, when people buy smokes on awp_dust they spam it. or will spam flash.
iceworld is fine because buy zone is small & mid.
pistols only on an awp map though, called awp for a reason.

No smokes and no flashes then. cause i feel people who lag at smokes and its *edited* annoying when u get like 5 fps. Its like u teleporting from place to place.
Either get them restricted or get over it. If it CAN be bought, let them buy it. If you dont want them to buy it, have it permanently restricted. As long as it CAN be bought, I will not punish anybody for buying whatever they want on awp_dust or any map.

Honestly I’m surprised that theres even a thread about this. I figured people would have enough common sense to not let people buy guns other than pistols on awp_maps. Nades should be a no brainer..
A while back Poopie and some other admin were buying rifles/other guns on awp_dust and I told them to *edited* off. Then Poopie said it was legal, so I bought an ak, raped EVERYONE and then got slayed by Poopie…
Basically what I’m saying is if an amazing player such as myself (lol jokez) buys a rifle on a somewhat close range awp_map..its just so stupid and unfair.

should be only thing can buy on the map, pistols and ammo.
or at least limit nades to 1he, 2flash, 1smoke.
& disable rest of guns.
