I’ve been a fan of the Silent Hill franchise since I first picked up Silent Hill 2 as my first ever PS2 game way back in the day. Since then I’ve played Silent Hill 2 I dont know how many times, played the first game, and seen the third and fourth installments played out in their full. The comics are all pretty good and the movie was probably the best video game adaption I’ve ever seen.

Basically, it rocks. So when I heard tale of Silent Hill V coming out way back when I got really excited. Then I heard it was supposed to more follow the model of Silent Hill 2 then the third and fourth installments and I got really, really excited (2 is my favorite you see).

It’ll be coming out on the PS3 and XBox 360 and from what I’ve seen so far it’s promising. A bit too much of the movie has leaked over into the visuals, but that doesnt necessarily hurt anything.

(And yes, it is officially called Silent Hill: Homecoming. That, however, sounds silly and for the time being I’ll refuse to call it anything but Silent Hill V.)

    Anyone else excited?

I am also a fan of Silent Hill games. I’ve beaten 2 and 4 but never got around to finishing 3 for some reason. Should get on that. Anyways, this will be amazing.

3 is really cool and it’s the direct equal to 1. It’s got some really strange stuff going on (even for SH), especially towards the end. I’d share, but I don’t want to spoil anything for you.

In 3 I’m in that unfinished apartment building. The darkness just came. I imagine I have quite the ways to go before I finish the game.

When is SH5 supposed to be released?
