Spectatoris it me or has the server been complete *edited* lately?
before the server was updated the server never spiked. now with the updates everyone is spiking with ping 100+ im just wondering whats causing this. this is probably why the server has not been as full as before. thats weird, before the update the server was full all the time, now just sometimes. i say rollback the updates! ! !.

A) there is no “rolling back the updates” all we did was format the box and reinstall CS. That is it.
The lag is most likely caused by the new TF2 server as it uses a LOT of resources when its full.July 8, 2008 at 11:44 pm #50750lockEm
SpectatorWorse and worse.
Edit: So what you’re saying is, CS is pretty much done for with the new TF2 server?

SpectatorI believe they are working out purchasing stronger processors. Also, amxx is not fully compatible with the last couple CS 1.6 updates. It needs to be pushed back 2 versions.

Spectatorits because of the TF2 SERVER? OFMG.. why dont u put it on the same box as the source server? the most active servers should be the most important. the 1.6 has been lagging a LOT, even when the tf2 server is not full. 1.6 needs a seperate box! ! !

SpectatorHas anyone actually looked at the TF2 server stats? Between the two only one has had a decent pop for one night for the last week.
The blame might not be that easy to assign, especially if he’s had problems more than just yesterday in the past week. Considering the fact that a full CS+CSS+TF2 still leaves 20-30% CPU open, it’s doubtful that a server that already uses less than 20% would have any trouble.
