SpectatorSome of the maps do not work well on a public server because of design. This problem is _greatly_ compounded by short round times. For example, CTs on cs_italy are f’d. Round time is what, two minutes? 120 seconds. It takes some 40-odd seconds to rescue the hostages without incident (no pesky Ts trying to prevent CTs from completing their objective). In a 12v12 server it is very, very unrealistic to have the CTs win rounds, and then the team balancer freaks out because of the number of rounds won.
Solution? Increase round time.
Aztec and Italy take time for the disadvantaged team — even Office is better served with a longer round time.

SpectatorSolution? Don’t camp. That’s why the round times are short.

CT’s on Italy are *horrible* about camping.

SpectatorWe’ve won Italy on CT before with hostage rescues, you just gotta cowboy up and get the hell in there fast. It’s not like in real life counter terrorists would wait for the terrorists to come to them.

SpectatorYep CTs can win via hostage rescue I have done it, its just a matter of going and doing it instead of camping down long hall like, “bee boo bee boo, well you go first so the awper will shoot you bee boo…”

Spectatornice sound effects.
just rush long hall and win. its not that hard. if everyone goes the same way and one person camps spawn with an awp you can win.

SpectatorI think we should keep these round times because like Kuros said 1. Prevent camping but IMO I think we should keep these ’cause at least people will do their objective if not they get destroyed? X_X

SpectatorI agree, I think the round times are good. The only problem with changing the round times is that on some maps… like say lost temple or thunder or some other ones where it may be hard to find people or there are good places to camp when your t or ct respectively, it keeps things moving. With a longer round timer we wouldn’t get near the rounds we get in as we do now. Which in my experience is generally between 15 and 25 or so. I think it’s very balanced, I took a little time to get used to it from the other 3 min servers I play. But I love it now and hate playing there because the game is slowed down.
