SpectatorI found this really nifty (as in awesome) program called “PLAYXPERT”. It’s developed by former X-FIRE developers, and aims to to the same thing X-FIRE does. Only better.
Instant Messaging
In addition to its own proprietary instant messaging service, it also supports AOL Instant Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, Sony Station Friends, MSN, Yahoo! Messenger, and Xfire.[3]
Web Browser
The Web Browser widget supports tabbed browsing, an in-game download manager, and bookmarks.
Diagnostics
The Diagnostics widget is an in-game Task Manager of sorts, which allows you to monitor your CPU usage, RAM usage, network bandwidth usage, and also a process manager, which allows you to end system processes while in-game.
Arcade
The Arcade widget is essentially a game manager, allowing you to launch all your games from it, and see what games your friends have. It also serves as a server browser. The Arcade widget became a standard widget as of February 27, 2009.[4]
User-Made Widgets
PLAYXPERT supports user-made widgets, and offers them for download in the Widget Gallery section of their web site.
Supports Windows XP/Vista 32 bit, with a seperate 64 bit open beta available for download as well. It ALSO supports overlay in DIRECTX10 games.
I’ve been playing with it, it’s pretty amazing. Albeit not something I’ll use full time, but I just wanted to try it, and its rather kickass, and I could see how alot of gamers could get into this.

SpectatorI was never really a fan of Xfire. Way too much going on in the background and it can break games.

SpectatorWell not only was I retarded and did not realize the picture could link, but I spent 10 minutes trying to get it to download and install in Ubuntu.

Spectatorhow much different is this than xfire… doesn’t it do all those things?

SpectatorNo. It doesn’t. This has a web browser and a process manager that can both be used IN GAME.

SpectatorJust wanted to chime in that we have a list of people’s xfire names floating around over here: http://www.wcugaming.org/forums/index.php?/topic/8185-xfire-names/
Also, people can add that to their profile so it shows up in their posts, like mine.

SpectatorThat X-Fire option in the profiles? That was my creation. Oh yeah. On a side note, I don’t use X-Fire, and never will. I have plugin for Pidgin. Although when I plugin for Astra comes out, I may switch for a trial run, as I’ve heard great things.
