So basically we have the OK from IT to use the lab in Belk 358 as long as we don’t use their machines (because of the proximity to final exams). Therefore, everybody will be needing to still bring their own computer.
What I want to know is what games you all want to play. We have the room from 5pm-12am, so probably enough time for 2-3 good games. We don’t even have to have formal tournaments, just play around; there won’t be any prizes anyways.
My thoughts:
Left 4 Dead
Team Fortress 2
But really it depends on what you all want to play. We can do an RTS tournament (BFME2 anyone?) or just have some fun doing random freeplay. I know those 2 games are kinda computer-intensive so maybe we could do some old school games like 1.6 or q3a for those with older computers or laptops (ahem adam37). Just want to know what you guys would like to do.
The floor is now open for discussion. I need to give IT a definite yes or no about using the space early next week. Obviously if there is no interest, we won’t do anything.

I mean, my vista system rating is a 2.1 (.1 better since i got that new HDD lol)
I think the older games are the best bet. We can barely pull a decent showing at the normal events and space is going to be so cramped here I can’t imagine towers would even be a *good* option.
Stick with 1.6, Q3A, UT2k4. Can also try a decent RTS in freeplay if enough people want to.

we had no problems with people bringing towers to that room in the past.
it just so happens apps online tf2 lan is supposed this same day. (however its very probable it will fall through) it would be a good time and place to rox some phaces

I am thinking maybe play left 4 dead and 1.6, that way (most) everybody has something to play and everyone should be happy.
