    OK so currently i am running on a pos comp with 447mb ram?? 128 mb vid card. 160 gb hard drive 3300+ amd athlon 64. basically i need something new. i plan to buy something by the end of december.

     

    my ideal thing is something less than $1,000 and with 2gb ram atleast, 512mb vid card, doesnt matter about the hard drive space cause i have external.

     

    these are the ones i’m looking at, what are your thoughts/suggestions.

    Buying pre-built from Tiger is about the biggest mistake you could make, they are absolutely terrible.

     

    If Nickname doesn’t help you I can but for $1000 you can get a pretty good machine.

    actually… I’m running an el-cheapo kit from tigerdirect and it roxors… only downside is the chassis vibrates from the optical drive spinning up cos the mount’s a pair of flimsy aluminum sides. Totally a pro in my book… very amusing at LANs to see neighbors get distracted (i.e. Kappamerc)

     

    technically another downside is only onboard gfx, but only coz i’m too cheap to throw in a card. with a card, it’ll run perfectly competitive.

    thx nickname; chris made me a list too a bit cheaper after rebates that uses all evga/corsair parts i’d send you the list if i knew how lol (i’ve already tried with my other friend) but i have all the links and stuff if you want to check it out too
