Maggie Valley Gaming

For any of you that spend time in the Maggie Valley/Waynesville area, a new arcade has opened up. It’s about two buildings over from the entrance to Ghost Town. I was surprised by how good it is. One half of it has the sort of stuff you’d expect to see in an arcade. Stuff like retro cabinets, shooters, pinball machines, air hockey. It’s kind of like the Cat’s Den, but with more stuff. The other half of it is the main attraction. It’s a big room fernished with couches, beanbag chairs, and blacklights. They have a bunch of game systems (ps3, xbox, wii) hooked up to some flatscreen tvs and you can play any of them for an hour for $5. You can bring your own games and hard drives if you want, but they do have games available right at the desk. I saw Madden, Halo, Left 4 Dead, and Cod4 in the counter. I played the first hour of Arkham Asylum for five bucks.
