Spectatorwhy are you depressed? Because we don’t prevent blacks from going to school? OR because we have sex whenever we want? Or because we don’t have to work at one company our whole life? Lol i donno about you, but I wouldn’t want to live in any other but now. The greatest generation wasn’t that great, baby boomers are still around *edited*ing *edited* up, and generation X are just barely getting out of rehab.
Nothing to be depressed about good sir.

SpectatorWell, being that our greatest celebrity is a cat that plays the keyboard.. something is definitely *edited*ed up about our culture.
Not to mention the middle school kids doing anal. That’s taking sexual liberation TOO far, imo.

lol you are giving that chart way to much credit. cat that plays keyboard is not our greatest celebrity, and the percentage of middle school kids doing anal is probably the same as it always was, dumb *edited*ed up kids have always been around.

SpectatorStill to say though, we have so many internet celebrities now because of retarded infectious videos.. We have so few celebrities with actual talent anymore.
And granted, the numbers may still be the same (which I highly doubt) it sure is publicized a whole lot more and found acceptable, or at least tolerated.

Working for a single good company for 40 years is an engineer’s dream.

Sadly that isnt the case anymore and you have to move every 3 years like me

I’m sorry, you can claim we live in the best era, but out society is stagnant. There is too much, “OMG BRITTANY DID THIS” bull*edited* and not enough of “Local Musician wows thousands with new music” We place values on things that should have never gotten values in the first place. We over glorify, spend, and communicate.
I for one miss the days where people did not get *edited*ed off if they did not hear from you in 2 weeks because all communication was sent by mail.

Her claim to famous was looking pretty and getting down with the Kennedy brothers.
Generally, I think the modern world gleefully celebrates failure. For example: Snakes on a Plane was number one at the boxoffice its opening weekend.

The prospect of moving between regions of this country every 2-4 years is not an appealing aspect of an engineer’s life, nor is it something that allows for relationships.
