SpectatorWell im guessing you have already updated your video drivers and checked in the console to make sure your max_fps is set right . your card may be going bad or steam may be crapping out there are a few things it could be . Have you tryed other games and is it the same way or just steam games

Spectatordeveloper 1
max_fps 1000
fps_max?
fps_modem 1000
one of those 3 work!
then lower your graphics settings and do some defrag and some ram cleaning tools like cacheman
and do a virus scan on http://www.trendmicro.com its all free stuff

Spectatorsweet, anything special you did?
August 27, 2006 at 1:53 am #11122j0rm4n
Spectatori typed in all those console commands u suggested b4, then after that, it seems to be fine.
i think it was fps_modem 1000 that did it…. maybe….

SpectatorMan I remember when this computer was the shiznit, with it’s 256 MB nvidia card. Then I found out my RAM timings are 3559 and that the gpu has a 350 mhz clock…shesh…I need to build a new one…what do you guys think of the Athlon 64 x2? I think that’s what my new comp is going to run on, I can’t stand Intel. I could send you my entire config if you’re interested enough to give me suggestions…it would probably help out a lot…I’ve been building for over 5 years, but I learn new stuff about it everyday..and other people’s experience always beats the ‘specifications’.
