One of her major selling points in the Charlotte area was that when she was in office she would finish I-485. Well now that she’s there, things aren’t quite so, well, she lied.
With the new state budget, Charlotte officials were told to pick between finishing I-485 or widening Independence Blvd.
When asked about her campaign promise, the reply was along the lines of “that was said before research was done.”
Guess the feds aren’t the only ones aiming to screw any and all constituents once they’ve been elected to power.
485 is a joke. They don’t need to finish the northern part so much as widen the part through pineville. From about 7-9am and 4-6pm, the stretch from I-77 to the mall is the state’s largest parking lot.
I-485 should have been 6 lanes both directions but the way things are going now that’ll never happen.

and i bet i sit through more traffic than anyone on here,, it suxx

Take a pillow and blanket and a large chain. Depending who is in front of you, and how slow the traffic is moving, I would chain your car to the one in front of you, lean back and get some zzzzzz’s. Or you could just smoke something…traffic is one of my most favorite places to partake in that.
