SpectatorI decided to take one of Jason and Brenton’s ideas and actually attempt it. So, for those of you who want to learn how to play Soul Calibur IV for the PS3, come on down I’ll be there to teach anyone who is willing to learn how to play this awesome game (and I’m sure EYCE will help too). Id love to teach people how to play this game so they will take an interest in it like me and if you want to come down for some Smash, come on down, it’ll be a dual event!

SpectatorYou should tell me about these things beforehand, of course I’ll help out.
Just make sure we have at least two systems set up with SCIV. I can bring my 360, if you can get me a TV to use.October 1, 2008 at 7:37 pm #58513Phonetically Phamous (dice

SpectatorI know I’m trying to put together a mentoring program in place that would be head up by our tF guys. And since about a third of our membership are WCU students, we could probably easily due a few workshop sessions too during our normal Saturday events. I’d be up for helping people work on their Halo, Gears, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and any other game I can think of.

SpectatorGod I hope we can get this on the WCU podcast since the whole point of this is to get people excited about the LAN

SpectatorIf you could mention to the people that the gaming club is holding a sort of mini LAN in Centrals Multi Purpose room to help people get better at the upcoming LAN then that would be great.

SpectatorJust for the record, the Family has finally launched its mentoring program. Essentially, it’s the same as the Gaming Workshops, but it’s over Xbox Live. We’d love to add PS3 gamers as well as Wii once we get more people who play those systems into our community. Anyways, there’s a whole forum section on our site devoted to it. Feel free to check it out. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

SpectatorGood to hear, how are the on-campus workshops going?
October 27, 2008 at 1:16 pm #61135FTE Kaz-Ka
SpectatorPretty good actually, we have had about 7-10 people come to learn about Soul calibur IV and it seems as if people are finally taking an interest in competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee. Its about time too because Brawl is honestly starting to lose its appeal to me.
October 27, 2008 at 1:16 pm #61136Oh Malley
SpectatorI know we’ve worked with a couple guys with their Gears gameplay. And from what I saw from the events I went to Kaz-Ka and Eyce spent some time working with some guys for SCIV.
Honestly, I would like to work with people on Halo 3, Gears, or Vegas 2. Whether it be on-line or in person. So, just contact me and let me know and I’ll try to work something out with you.

SpectatorI would suggest talking to liam and bitey about allowing you to send out mass emails to the board members. That will get everyone in the gaming clubs attention. App state sends me spam all the time. Its not difficult to delete.
