So this is more for hobbyists and/or old crap enthusiasts, but I am cleaning out my closet, and I have a very good condition Apple IIgs computer that is taking up a lot of space. Hot *edited* back in the day, this system is reducted to sitting in boxes and needs a good home. Worth a whopping $25 on ebay this system can be yours free provided you live in the North Texas area (or really like to pay for shipping).
Again i stress the great quality and workmanship only a 16 bit computer can provide. Anyway, it includes:
Apple IIgs cpu
Apple II Moniter
Apple II Imagewriter printer
Big *edited* 3.5 floppy drive
keyboard
mouse
6lbs of assorted manuals
all cables and necessary doohickeys
Everything is nicely packed in the original boxes and styrofome.
Anyway, its a longshop posting it here, but if anybody wants to make the voyage for dallas or really wants to pay for shipping its yours. Just think, in 20 more years, a system like this could be worth almost $50.
dumb question… is that a monster-sized 3.5″ floppy drive (big drive, small slot) or is it one of them 5.25″ floppy drives (big drive, bigger slot, accepts the truly floppy floppies)?
on a side note, i’m bummed to say that i can’t be the interested buyer… not plannin any runs to texas, and to cheap for the shipping costs. and the thing’d be collecting dust for at least another decade before i can make use of it…

It is the former. Not as cool as a 5.25″ drive I am afraid
