I dream all the time. I remember a lot from my dreams; they’re really detailed. I actually log them, too, but if I post them, people will they’re tl;dr. :/

Okay so last night I dreamt it was me my bro and my dad and we were hitchhiking cause the zombies took over (typical start of a dream), but for some reason we weren’t infected. Then a black blazer on 40 inch tires pulls up honks its horn and we jump in, i take the wheel cause it there was no driver. We start driving towards the coast and what looks to be the sun setting. It was odd though cause when we got there it started to rise and the clouds went all black hole like. As soon as we got out i turn around and notice the black blazer morphed into a RV camper. Then i woke up. WHAT DOES IT MEAN! lol

Tora you know there is a thing called summarizing which probably would help with that tldr thing :P

NuRayz, did the RV camper have a satellite dish?

i’m not sure if it did or not. I know it had one of those ac/heater things on top. I only caught a glimpse of it before the thought of a blazer turning into an RV in front of my face was enough to stir me from slumber.

it’s weird, whenever i question myself or the experience in the dream i wake up. I guess that’s when conscious kicks in and tells you hold on a minute something aint right. One thing is for sure, dream world for me has always been awesome. Nightmares too, one time i was being chased by this diablo looking creature, scary as *edited*, but it was bad *edited*. Even when he stuck me with his spike attack (kinda like the lurkers in starcraft) i was having a blast. Another weird thing is i dream in color, real vivid colors most of the time.

:o I’ve never heard of people not dreaming in color. Do you dream in black in white or something?

i’ve had dreams that were mostly all greys with like one vivid color. most of the time they are in color. Some people don’t ever dream in color, or so i’ve heard.

I guess I would relate my dreams to paintings. I dream in everything from abstract to realistic, and then sometimes I don’t dream at all or at least I don’t remember the dream.

That’s so weird. I always dream in color. I wonder if I can induce a dream that isn’t.

Oh yeah and the question is from a dream book I have, that tries to make sense out of dreams, sort of spiritual sort of psychological.

Basically whether or not NuRayz is *edited* all depends on whether or not there is a satellite dish on that RV….

I of course was just kidding, but yeah actually this what an RV means : To see an RV in your dream, suggests that you are feeling empowered. You need to enjoy life to the fullest.

Alternatively To dream that you are hitchhiking, suggests that that you have not earned or deserved to be where you are at. The dream may also be a metaphor that you are getting a free ride. Perhaps you are becoming too dependent on others.

To dream that you are attacked by zombies, indicates that you are feeling overwhelmed by forces beyond your control. You are under tremendous stress in your waking life

Nothing as specific as a black blazer, but the color black symbolizes the unknown, unconscious, danger, mystery, darkness, death, mourning, hate or malice.

If the feeling in the dream is one of joy, blackness could imply hidden spirituality and divine qualities.

Also To dream that you are driving a vehicle, signifies your life’s journey and your path in life. The dream is telling of how you are moving and navigating through life. If you are driving and cannot see the road ahead of you, then it indicates that you do not know where you are headed in life and what you really want to do with yourself. You are lacking direction and goals. If you are driving on a curvy road, then it indicates that you are have difficulties in achieving your goals and the changes associated with it.Alternatively, driving a car in your dream, is analogous to your sex life and sexual performance. Consider how you are driving and what kind of car you are driving and how it relates to your waking sex life.

To see the coast in your dream, suggests that you are on a spiritual quest. The coast symbolizes the meeting between your two states of mind – the rational and the irrational. Alternatively, the dream may be a metaphor of how you are “coasting”. through life. You may need to take things more seriously.

To see the sunset in your dream, indicates the end of a cycle or condition. It is a period of rest, renewal, and evaluation.

To see fluffy, white clouds in your dream, signify inner peace, spiritual harmony and compassion. An issue in your waking life may be clearing up. To see dark or stormy clouds in your dream, symbolize depression or anger. It indicates an impending eruption of emotions. Alternatively, it represents a lack of wisdom or confusion in some situation. Thus, the dream may be a metaphor for your “clouded” way of thinking.

To dream that something is morphing into something else that morphs into something else, represents your indecision or your ever changing attitudes toward some situation or issue. It may also mean that you are looking at something from a new angle or different perspective. Consider the significance of each morphed object.

And that was me breaking apart your dream….. like a fraction… enjoy.

that is by far the best thing I have read on the forums. I have literally been laughing for a good 10 minutes about it. no amount of lols or rofls can express the awesomeness of the post and poster.

I also dream maybe once a year normally. I literally think I never dreamed my 1st and 2nd year of college. This year though they happen like every three nights for some reason. They usually end up being horrors of my current research going horrible wrong some how… then i wake up sweating and need a *edited*ing shower at 4:30 in the morning.

I log some of my dreams also.

When I was younger I had the same dream for 3 weeks in a row about me jumping down the flight of stairs in my house except instead of just bashing my head into the ground I glided through the air.

I dreamed that I grabbed a kid’s hand and jumped on top of a van. As the kid was dangling, trying to get away, I was busy eating his hand. After I was done, I dropped the kid to the ground and jumped off. One of the girls watching asked for my phone number. Then I woke up.

I had a dream last night where the WCU basketball team made it to the final four and I was going to be able to play in it. The only problem was, my gym shorts were in the locker room and it was locked. I went around back and a hobo told me there was a secret entrance to the locker room in a foreign supermarket back behind the school. I was able to get my gym shorts and get out to play, but by the time I got out there, the game was over.

No i was not high before i went to bed lol

My most reoccurring dream from the yesteryear was this horror dream I had. I saw the monster below on some sort of tv show and I had this dream that 5 of 6 of them would come and get me and I could never scream out in terror. They would bind my hands and feet and strap me to a pole and just carry me around. Later, for some reason the monster in the dream turned into my front door coming alive and chasing me down. yes i dunno either.

I once had a groundhog’s day dream. I would wake up and look out the window and it would be cloudy. I would wake up again, look at the cloudiness and get out of bed. Then I would wake up, look at the cloudiness, get out of bed, and open my closet. This kept going until I eventually got fully dressed and went downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast and that’s when I actually did wake up. Unfortunately, it was cloudy when I looked outside so I had no idea what the f*ck was going on!

This used to happen to me a lot when I was younger. I felt like the bed was slowly flipping over and I wouldn’t fall off until it was completely turned over.

More from Dr. Dream aka Bitey….

As with most common dream themes, falling is an indication of insecurities, instabilities, and anxieties. You are feeling overwhelmed and out of control in some situation in your waking life. This may reflect the way you feel in your relationship or in your work environment. You have lost your foothold and can not hang on or keep up with the hustle and bustle of daily life. When you fall, there is nothing that you can hold on to. You more or less are forced toward this downward motion without any control. This lost of control may parallel a waking situation in your life.

Falling dreams also often reflect a sense of failure or inferiority in some circumstance or situation. It may be the fear of failing in your job/school, loss of status, or failure in love. You feel shameful and lack a sense of pride. You are unable to keep up with the status quo or that you don’t measure up.

According to Freudian theory, dreams of falling indicate that you are contemplating giving into a sexual urge or impulse. You maybe lacking indiscretion.

Falling dreams typically occur during the first stage of sleep. Dreams in this stage are often accompanied by muscle spasms of the arms, legs, and the whole body. These sudden contractions, also known as myclonic jerks. Sometimes when we have these falling dreams, we feel our whole body jerk or twitch and we awaken from this jerk. It is thought that this jerking action is part of an arousal mechanism that allows the sleeper to awaken and become quickly alert and responsive to possible threats in the environment.

According to biblical interpretations, dreams about falling have a negative overtone and suggest that man is acting and walking according to his own way of thinking and not those of the Lord.

Freud’s theories are all fails but he did get the ball rolling.

You guys were experiencing an hypnagogic myoclonic twitch or “hypnic jerk”. Close to 70% percent of people experience it when falling asleep. When the signals to your muscles begin to die down and you go into a resting state, your brain senses these relaxation signals, but can misinterpret. Instead of beginning the proper sleep cycle, your brain tells you that you’re falling down, which then starts up the signals to the muscles again in an attempt to get you up.
