cs freezes….halp!

    sooo my CS has started crashing when i try to join a server and it gets to the “validating game resources” part of the load script. This just started happening today and idk what to do. I already verified the integrity of the game cache…halp! <3 i dont wanna have to delete all my folder to fix this. *edited*e

    I could help you smash your computer. That may be over doing the fix, but it will guarantee whatever is F’ing up your CS will die with extreme prejudice

    I recommend, uninstall, then install :D Steam is retarded.

    Yeah. Just go to c:\program files\steam\steamapps\ and delete the counter-strike directory. Then when you double-click it in steam, it reinstalls all the files from the compressed ones that it downloaded.

    OR. Just right Click CS, And delete then “Delete Local Content”

    Yes, but then he has to redownload it. The way I recommended prevents that. :)

    i did what liam said…and it worked!! <3 i just copied all my maps and 1.6 models and config to a new folder..lost most my demos tho :o

     

    I just got back to this thread..i got it working later that night…i was soo angry i was about to DL L4D demo to apease my killing needs

    I wish it would have never started working for this hacker again..he pwns too hard..way too many quick HS’s..unreal he is I tell ya..so want to banzor into oblivion with all the walling..got him like once out of 23 times last nite…LooT.
