I was looking at the registration just now and I noticed that there are quite a few people who are signed up for consoles only. As a gaming club executive who was around when we originally pushed console gaming into the gaming club, I’m thrilled to see console gamers coming around and giving us a shot. But I do have one thing to ask of all you people registered for console games. If you like our tournaments and LAN events, INVITE YOUR FRIENDS!!!! You guys have the potential to be as big as the pc tournaments.
if i can find a way to get some console only prizes from console companies then i can get alot more people to come to these.
Or even from LAN centers or something to that effect
I will try my best to get console sponsorship by or next lan or possibly even in the fall. I know I won’t be here in the fall (highly likely) but I still plan to continue to work hard for the WCU gaming club. Sponsors want to see support and maybe with this LAN having a larger console presence, we can send pictures in that our LANs are for real.
But always remember that our LANs are NOT about prizes, they are about community. That’s what our founding fathers wanted.

Firefox 2.0 is Dice’s friend. But his lab’s laptop doesn’t have Firefox, so we’re screwed trying to read anything he types whenever he’s in his lab.
ROFL, dice that was funny! .. guys one thing you need to remember is that the club is here to help you, not to do everything for you. If you see a ask if they can sponsor the club.. EXAMPLE
KB toys sells videogames right? Whats better than giving away a new game for a prize? They can trade it if they dont like it. So just walk in there and be like .. My name is Joe and I am with the WCU gaming club. We have a lan event coming up soon and we would like to talk to you about a sponsorship. Marketing is something that companies don’t normally turn down. Its their way of getting their name out. After that point the gaming club can handle the rest, but its the start of the sponsorship thats the hardest.
