SpectatorBasically I feel like a noob asking these questions but I have exhausted my knowledge of connecting to networks. Basically I connect fine to my router here at home and I can talk to people via steam and IM, but the second I open IE8 or Firefox the pages won’t load. It literally loads a white page and I can hear firefox saying “Ta-da! There Ya Go” and there is nothing there.
If I connect to any other router, whether it be at school or one of the unsecured ones near my house (Honeypots) I can load pages with ease and I have nearly no issues. I’ve tried in IE8 as well, and still can’t load any webpage. I’ve disabled AdBlock Plus thinking somehow I blocked every webpage, I’ve tried to “repair” status and reset the router and both didn’t help.
So any help in pointing me in the next direction would really help.

Maybe you accidentally blocked port 80. The easiest way to go about it would be to reset the router to factory defaults.

SpectatorThere is a difference in resetting a router and resetting a router to factory defaults. I have no idea whether he power cycled it or actually held the button down.

SpectatorAlso: It’s only my computer. Both my roommates computers, and my tower all work fine.

Spectatoropen network and sharing center, on the left click “manage network connections” right click on “wireless network connection” and go to properties; uncheck the box next to TCP/IP version 6, click OK and restart your computer.
I doubt that will fix it but if your router is trying to give you an IPv6 address… its gonna fail.
