SpectatorSo this might have been covered earlier but I see alot and I mean ALOT of people doing this. I though it was not allowed here and yes I even see some admins do it to. So is it not allowed or whats the deal with it and why is it that some admins do it then get mad when other people do it.?
February 23, 2009 at 8:19 pm #71998AMerrill
SpectatorIts not permitted. Who?
February 23, 2009 at 9:29 pm #72004YahooEarth
SpectatorMaybe name these said admins…because it has never been allowed…
February 23, 2009 at 10:16 pm #72016Citan001
SpectatorWell I dont wanan get said admins in trouble it was just a question because i was confused about it. My understanding was it was not allowed at all untill after the round was over in those like 3 sec between rounds.

SpectatorIt is technically not allowed at all…no matter when during the round. It is permitted on non-objective maps, such as sk3 and deadgle5. The rotation is pretty long now, so I don’t know what maps are in it, with my lack of time to play. But it is not permitted at all, even at the end of the round.
Please PM an exec, the CL, or an admin you trust. The other option is to post through the anonymous function at the top of the forums page. An admin signs a pledge to adhere to the rules, and this is not an exception. If admins are doing this, then they need to be dealt with.
At the least, thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we will keep our eyes open for this in the future.

SpectatorUm ok i will do that. I didnt know about any of those things peanut but now i do and i will let you all know.

SpectatorYea, I have noticed a bit of this too; glad it is getting addressed. Not necessarily with the admins, but just in general. Usually the people who break this rule tend to be more lax about following other rules as well.
Another issue that had me pretty butthurt the other day is rejoining. I’m not as concerned about people joining for money (although i think this is a no-no), but I actually awped a guy between the door at the start of a dust 2 round, watched as he rejoined, picked up his fallen awp, and proceeded to kill me in that same round. Needless to say, i raged. The solution seems pretty simple luckily. On other servers there is scrip that detects if a player “plays the same round twice” and automatically slays them. Would it be possible to implement this on the server?

SpectatorI guess this is gonna turn into a thread about rule breaking and thats totally cool because i have noticed over the past week that many people break many rules including the porn spray rule. I do my best to make sure people follow the rules but they dont like to listen to a guy with no admin. Its always on those off hours like late at night or mid morning when I can never seem to get a hold of an admin.

Spectatori’ll do it once in awhile, i’ll stop. I only ever do it about twice, and technically it’s just one good jump. I jump constantly with my shotgun and a lot of times it happens when your on a hill, i only use the mousewheel on sk3. But I would like to uphold standards; as per banana – technically that’s impossible, you can’t play a round twice in our server. You’re instantly slayed. Something liam had in awhile ago, I’m pretty sure it’s still there. But something to check on. As per porn sprays and all, I see them but we tell the individual not to, and they follow the rules. I think our admins do a good job, and I know a lot of the regulars will cover them up with sprays as soon as they see them as to not cause a commotion. Late night I know a lot of idiots will get on and spam voice and sprays but we try to deal with them.

SpectatorRaine, obviously slay the guy…thats a no brainer…
And peanut, I don’t think it matters if someone is bunny hopping during warmup or after the round is over, or on sk3…

yahoo it doesn’t matter when it is bunny hopping IS NOT ALLOWED not in warm-up not at the end of a round not at the end of a map the only places it is allowed are sk3 and deagle it approved by the cl this is the kind of stuff as admin we don’t need to waver on if its a rule its a rule the whole time a person is on the servers simple put that kind of thinking is like a part time admin and we don’t need that kind of stuff going on rules are rules and everyone even the admin need to follow them .

SpectatorTime to pull out the ban hammer!
March 2, 2009 at 12:51 pm #72880LuckySeven
SpectatorI agree if it is a rule of the server then no one should do it at all. Not even during warmup or after the round. It lets the non regulars think it is fine to do it. They should be told to stop then slayed then banned.

SpectatorWe’ve NEVER punished people for hopping after the round is over, or during warmup…We’ve discouraged it because the more they do it, the more prone they will be to do it in round…but there are people like menace and a few others that will only hop during the warmup, or after the round is completely over, and that is the ONLY time they do it, which I see no problem with since it affecting nothing…

March 2, 2009 at 1:21 pm #72886Citan001
SpectatorSounds like we need the execs to come down with the actual rules on this. I see this happening more and more often and as im sure most of you know nothing gets more mad then people bunny hopping.
March 2, 2009 at 2:47 pm #72889AMerrill
SpectatorThe rules are here: http://www.wcugaming.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=10760
Do you see anywhere in there where it says there is an exception at end round or during warmup?
March 2, 2009 at 2:56 pm #72891MasterP
SpectatorYou still gets points during the warmup round so it still gives the same long-term advantage as any other round. The only difference is you don’t have a monetary incentive to do it.
/end debate on that one
At the end of the round is still up in the air. While it doesn’t really give a benefit, some players will sneak it further and further into the “end” of the round trying to push the envelope. If a team hasn’t won yet, slay them. If they do it to get to a gun they ordinarily would not have been able to get to, slay them the next round.
March 2, 2009 at 3:33 pm #72893YahooEarth
SpectatorIf someone is using it to their advantage ANYTIME during the round, I will always warn/slay/kick, w/e…As most of you know…when have I EVER been shy about taking action against people…
March 2, 2009 at 3:34 pm #72894YahooEarth
SpectatorI’m sure I’m near the top of the the list of people who use admin the most…
March 2, 2009 at 3:56 pm #72895Citan001
SpectatorYahoo you are not shy at all about using your admin. I see you enforcing the rules on bunny hopping the most followed by peanut and ex. I just see it happening more and more especially when admins are not on.

SpectatorAgree with peanut.
March 2, 2009 at 7:18 pm #72928Wildthang
Spectatorcan we make anodther point that if they start *edited*ing about not being able to bunny hop they get a silence because it really gets annoying hearing QQing all the time about this server not allowing bunnyhopping
March 2, 2009 at 7:20 pm #72930Citan001
SpectatorYes they always argue about how its legal in CAL and what not.
March 2, 2009 at 7:23 pm #72933Wildthang
Spectatori just think it gets old after admins tell them it is illigal, tell them to check the rules if they don’t believe them, yet keeping up with the QQ so i just don’t think it would be such a bad thing to silence them for a few rounds so they get the idea that yeah we know it’s allowed in CAL and other servers but not here
