AppalachLAN IV: Fourplay, Longtime
November 18th, 12pm-11pm
Boone, NC
Appalachian State University Student Union (on campus)
Featuring an all gigabit network with capacity for 90 PCs, this LAN is BYOC(Bring your own computer). We are having an eight team Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament, DDR tournament, Halo 2 tournament and a Starcraft tournament(potentially a BF2 tourney instead).
In addition to these games, we have dedicated Linux servers setup for Quake 3: Areana, Quake 4, CS:Source, BF2, Unreal Tournament 2004 and more.
We are currently working with NVIDIA to get a sweet video card to give away for one of the tournaments. All tournaments will have prizes for winners.

hmm that look pretty nice, i can prob get a good number of people there fr halo 2 if there are going to be good prizes for it.
well all my friends that are good at halo 2 would have to trael from raleigh and what not. so what prizes to make the trip worth while.
then they should just come down for a good game. if i lived in NC id be coming to like all of the lans but i live 7 or 8 hours away plus traffic and stuff, if i did come id probably have to stay a day or 2. i have a friend that lives somewhere in NC but idn if my parents would let me stay there. otherwise id come for lans
who is a mile away and it takes 3 hrs to get there? i walk a mile in about 10 minutes. 5 minutes with a bike. im about 500 miles away
i would actaully like to get a team together to go, if there is still room available…for CS1.6 that is…

i know adambomb is going, i’ll go if you need one to fill… i’m shure loot will go if we all go. so 1 more?
if we do this i would like to scrim a few times with the group before hand…

Maybe i’ll go. You got to bring your own comp, mine is a dinasour. Might feel like an *edited* carrying it in there.
