When I was a kid, there were a few ocaisions when game companies actually sent me VHS tapes featuring infomercials for their products. The two most memorable were ads for Sega Saturn and Star Fox 64. They had radically different approachs. Sega attempted to get consumers pumped for their console by scaring the hell out of them. Nintendo tried to appeal to their audience’s sense of humor. Incidently, I never owned a Saturn. Now marvel at the extreme era that was the 1990s:
