I do both. 
I wasn’t going to mention hanging up clothes since people are already whining about having to fold ones that were already dry. However, it takes no effort to switch to cold water.
The cold water thing, I guess, applies more to people who aren’t paying a fixed rate at a laundromat. If you’re paying for utilities, using cold water helps to lower your bill.
