The Dwight Howard incident was different. He didn’t throw the elbow while fighting for a rebound…are you kidding? Howard threw the elbow after the play was over and while he was running back to the other end of the court.
The Brad Miller foul should’ve been an ejection for Rondo. (flagrant 2)
Kirk Hinrich exaggerated the shove that Rondo made. Hinrich was just acting so that he could try to get Rondo ejected. If you look at the incident again, Rondo didn’t even shove him that hard yet Hinrich flew. Hinrich weighs 190 lbs. and Rondo weighs only 170 lbs. Seriously? Look at the replay again and you can clearly see that the incident was a minor one. The Robert Horry shove on Steve Nash in the playoffs awhile ago was a REAL SHOVE.
Did you even see either of those plays.
The Horry “shove” as you put it was nothing more than Robert Horry planting his large body and leaning into a tiny Steve Nash that was running full speed. Was it unnecessary, yes, but Big Shot Bob did what he needed to do, and that was get in the way of him.
Rondo and Hinrich’s ARMS were tied up, and then Rondo flung him to the ground, and with enough force, people do slide, weight difference or not. Rondo has shown already with Brad Miller that size means nothing when attempting to hurt a player(whether he actually wanted to hurt him is irrelevant). And yes, the Howard bow was not fighting for a rebound, it was after the play, socal is dumb : ) . But the elbow Rondo threw should have either ejected him from that game immediately, or at the very least suspended him one game. I mean look at what happened to Melo two(I think) years ago, he gets one measly *edited* punch in, then runs, and gets suspended something ridic like 23 games? But he was not the commissioners golden child(LeBron), or his prodigy team(Celtics), so he was going to be made example of…
