Far from it. We are going “to continue to work with our partners to prevent future attacks” and “hold them accountable for their crimes.” When translated into normal english that means we’re going back to the status-quo once the situation settles down and the media shifts to something else.
There was a military plan put on Obama’s desk during this ordeal that would have eliminated the pirate threat in that section of the sealane and freed the 200 hostages currently being held by that group of pirates all while taking less than 72 hours from signature to completion. That’s what a real president would do, Obama won’t.
