Because in the end the growers and “dealers” are going to lose a lot of customers. From the perspective of the consumer, the idea of being able to legally purchase marijuana is much more appealing and less “scary” than buying it from a shady dealer. The only reason we risk it now is because it’s illegal, but if there was a legal option (which there already is in some states) it will catch on like fire, no pun intended. Eventually, if the producers want to continue “business as usual” they’ll do it the legal way.
