At MLG they have their own TVs that they bring in which conveniently have headphone jacks. Out of all the TVs I’ve seen us bring, not a single one had a headphone jack. And I don’t see any of us spending $100 for Turtle Beach’s headset and transmitter to make us use headsets/headphones.
If we can get enough staff and commitment from our console group, then we should be able to handle our LAN just fine. Yeah, have the president or secretary or whoever around to help supervise and make sure stuff gets done, but I think it’s less hassle on the executives. Most of the stress on the console side lies on the President and Vice President. At this past LAN, Shae and Cacophany definitely learned how much I had to deal with just organizing and running the tournaments when I was the council leader. So, now we have more people with experience and maybe get a few more to commit to certain tasks and duties, the console section should be able to run its own event no problem. Maybe need an executive or two to help with the legistics, handle money and attendance, and of course make sure pictures take place.
