Maps such as Port, Thunder, and ItalyBlitz aren’t fun with awps, simply because of the landscape of the map. I’d argue against taking them away in these instances because I’m a firm believer of allowing whatever is in the game to be played, no matter the map, but I agree with the decision to remove them in these maps to increase enjoyment for the rest of the server.

Removing the awps from maps like Aztec, Dust2, etc would be going too far. People need to learn how to handle an awp on maps such as Aztec simply because it will help them in the long-run and allow them to get off of the baby “crutch” so to speak. On Aztec all people have to do is rush. T’s for the most part are too scared to peek DoubleDoors or Bridge BECAUSE of the awp, but when someone finally has the balls and rushes out, the awps don’t know what to do and people start dying. On top of that, T’s can easily smoke their own bridge room, smoke the CT’s bridge room, and rush across. When it comes to DD, THROW FLASHES AND SMOKES OVER THE WALL. Seriously, you can throw flashes and smokes over the wall above DD, just like the doors at long A in D2. A thrown smoke disrupts awps, a flash throws the other team into a disarray, and combine those with a rush and next thing you know you have dead CT’s.
