My friend has a Zune and we found out that it syncs with windows 7 like a beast. It loaded every song he had onto his new PC almost instantly and being able to navigate through playlists, artists, albums, etc was easy. I have Vista unfortunately, but if they programed the Zune to have the same relationship with that os then I’d definitely go with zune.
Vista won’t get those features because how Windows7 interacts with portable devices has been completely redesigned.

So DRMing is like renting songs I take it? I can’t err, upload my music from another source now?
DRM’ing with music typically means you can only play it within the player your bought it and on devices that it approves of. It’s stupid and is being phased out by the music industry because it’s driving legit customers to piracy because the music they bought isn’t really theirs.
