Using cold water saves you money.

yeah and so does hanging clothes to dry.

what are we in 1920?

I do both. :D I wasn’t going to mention hanging up clothes since people are already whining about having to fold ones that were already dry. However, it takes no effort to switch to cold water.

The cold water thing, I guess, applies more to people who aren’t paying a fixed rate at a laundromat. If you’re paying for utilities, using cold water helps to lower your bill.

have you switched out all your bulbs to energy savers?

and what about those faucets and shower heads?

how about your wall and attic insulator?

don’t forget about wrapping you’re pipes in the winter.

Do you have a cistern to collect rain water? How about a compost bin to recycle all your organic waste?

sell you’re tv and ya got yourself even more money. Hell do away with your a/c and install low energy fans.

Save enough money and finally purchase those solar panels. *edited* might as well get a green roof. Now the utilities are paying you!!

C’mon tora go all out!!! :P
