95% of what that man says is nonsensical gibberish pertaining to highly edited news clips mixed with 5% of him making funny faces while pausing letting the audience laugh at the nonsensical gibberish.
Yep, I can see how people would find that humorous and therefore trust him more than the local news anchor who actually does a good job relaying news that is relative to the area. Sounds bites and flashing pictures tends to entertain us more than a man in a tie telling us what we need to know.

and the only reason I watch the show isn’t because HE is funny, but because of how those clips are so masterfully and highly edited. Makes me lol everytime, i could care less about him being constipated on the screen half the time.
