“From what I hear” belongs nowhere in the conversation. What self respecting parent accepts money, after some guy molested their child? Not a very good one. If I was that parent, and he actually did those things to my child, not only would I not drop the charges, but I would have been out for blood. As a celebrity as big as Michael Jackson, and with as immature as he was (due to lack of a childhood), you would hate to be called a monster, and would do anything to make it go away. Not only that, but the person Michael paid off, Evan Chandler (father of the “victim”) was abusive to his own family to begin with. It’s plain STUPID to assume he did it based on what you “think” you know, and its down right LOGICAL to believe they were after his money, but NOOOOO, he’s a celebrity, so he HAS TO be guilty. It’s also known that they had even MORE evidence for the second charge against him, which he was found innocent on.

MJ did not pay the parents, that statement alone proves you don’t know wtf you’re talking about. The details of the payment were never released, as they rarely are in civil suits. It’s none of our business and we don’t a constitutional right to know. The suit went on for about 4 months and oddly enough was settled quickly after the boy signed a declaration of the details of the event. Since you pride yourself on LOGICAL actions, ask yourself why Jackson fought it until the boy testified? That doesn’t make sense and LOGICALLY looks damning.

Oh, and since the teenager was calling the shots I imagine he may have felt $15,000,000 was enough to make him drop the charges.

And since you aren’t a parent, you don’t know what you would do. Any assumption of what you would do puts you in the same category you’ve been putting everyone else in.
