lol it’s similar to parkinsons so i figured somebody out there with dystonia might be on it. I looked up some folks, and there are some using it for the disease in colorado.

With parkinsons, you use L-dopa you dummy. Little do those ppl know that anti-psychotics just might work better than marijuana and they don’t mess up with your DNA.

marijuana messes with your DNA???
didn’t know that rofl
also, l-dopa side affects:
* Hypotension, especially if the dosage is too high
* Arrhythmias, although these are uncommon
* Nausea, which is often reduced by taking the drug with food, although protein interferes with drug absorption
* Gastrointestinal bleeding
* Disturbed respiration, which is not always harmful, and can actually benefit patients with upper airway obstruction
* Hair loss
* Disorientation and confusion
* Extreme emotional states, particularly anxiety, but also excessive libido
* Vivid dreams and/or insomnia
* Auditory and/or visual hallucinations
* Effects on learning; there is some evidence that it improves working memory, while impairing other complex functions
* Somnolence and narcolepsy
* A condition similar to stimulant psychosis
weed side affects:
hungry
sleepy
happy
also, i never said it cured anything, provides some relief yes, but doesn’t cure.
and yes i get trolled easily by this conversation but so what! lol

GI and Nausea can be prevented with eating food beforehand. Hypotention can be prevented by a good MD. Arrythmia is a long term side effect and I’m pretty sure there aren’t a lot of studies out there that concentrates on THC and that specific symptom. As for the anxiety- isn’t paranoia a side effect of using THC? I’m pretty sure THC lowers your libido as well. Vivid dreams/disorientation/confusion/auditory/visual hallucinations- are you kidding me?
.. something tells me that you just read this stuff off of a website.

He actually pulled it off Wikipedia and unless you’re a chemist, chemical engineer, or biologist with extensive knowledge of the chemical effects of l-dopa on the human body you really can’t refute it. When it comes to science, Wiki is typically very accurate. Like accurate enough to source in a senior project if your professor isn’t retarded.

Most likely not. There are usually waivers you sign before taking any sort of vaccine, being completely screwed up or dying are notable things you typically waive the right to sue over.
Although I’d have sued anyway. No matter what you sign, that reaction just wasn’t right.

Wiki isn’t even a secondary source. How can you pull that crap off for a senior project (unless if you’re talking about high school)?

silly rabbit, you don’t source wiki directly…you use wiki as a starting point, using their sources as potential citations. plus on real papers, i would limit my internet sources to maybe 1 or 2. Library sources are 2134235134 times better. You probably could get away with citing work that you never even bothered researching. lol I know of many professors who were impressed enough to give me the benefit of the doubt because i took the time to go get a couple sources from the library.
this isn’t a term paper though, and well wiki is the fastest method to check on your lies (okay not lies par say). Anti-psychotics are bad business in my book, every one of my friends on them are total zombies (i guess a zombie is better than being bipolar) =/
necessary for some, but i definitely think work can be done to reduce the side affects.

Well yeah, anti-psychotics are abused so much by doctors that they don’t even bother adjusting the doses or even find the use of a drug that would better suite the patient. Every time there’s a patient acting up in the ER, they just stick ’em with haloperidol (which is actually fun to use in a dart gun
). Docs should use the meds like it’s controlling a car crash (skidding) instead of completely taking away the car, until they find something better.October 23, 2009 at 2:13 pm #95368MasterP

It’s not hard really. In the world of experimental physics, sources are few and wiki is right. Our advisor told us to use Wiki if we wanted because the leading source for it right now is wrong, at least according to our calculations.

Well ok, granted that certain subjects are kind of hard to mess up and not be called out on. I don’t mean that in a bad way.
October 23, 2009 at 3:58 pm #95381MasterP
SpectatorThere are many subjects where using Wiki is dangerous but typically science related articles on it are just as accurate, if not moreso, than any “credible” source.
Short of journals it’s about as close as you can get in most respects.
