The server use to run great with a rotation that never changed, i cant remember how may maps there were but i think it was about 15? and the server used to stay packed, its ok to change the map if it is dead to try to get more people in but the rotation kept it interesting and even with maps like he_dodgeball in the rotation it would be full. im not saying put that map in the rotation but if u put a solid lineup in people will stay in the server
we been trying to get a good rotation going but the few admins we have dont play as often anymore. we need more admins
the server changes the rotation every semester. from what i’ve seen in the past few years, the server usually always gets packed starting in october or so and stays packed until may/june when a lot of people finish classes.
I should do some digging, gots some historical records on here somewhere where I had to deal with this same issue. It comes up a lot, and really there is no perfect answer. Really it just takes a community effort, for everyone to kind of pull together and be of good cheer, which is appealing to new guests, and therefore population will grow.
