SpectatorHeero would be in charge of this. Granted, I bet he’ll want suggestions / recommendations.

SpectatorSpeaking of Warcraft III, anyone play the custom game Legion TD on battle net?

SpectatorIf no one has any ideas on this we can always go with the stock rules that Battle Net uses for ranked matches.

In the past they’ve always been posted within 24 hours of the meeting. I always had it done before we left the meeting.
My fear is that throwing in an RTS means no timetable will be stuck to. The last time we did Starcraft, well, things took a while. A long while. And that was with only like 8 people playing. And a highly experienced player running it.

I was kind of confused when we didn’t stay after the meeting to make a time line but I’m guessing Kaz-Ka is gonna do that later.
You are right about the RTS though one round can easily take 30-45 minutes to do. It may have to be an all day tournament which means people will have to take the risk of just playing Warcraft III and nothing else.

It’s not up to Kaz-ka, or at least it’s traditionally not been. The VPs should figure out the tournament time requirements for each game and get together and schedule them so they line up together.

That’s why whenever we’ve done them in the past they’ve always been unofficial tournaments. There’s no way to schedule regular gameplay around them, especially once you get a few good players matched up. It’s like trying to play smash bros and PC tournaments at the same time. It works out for a while but eventually you have to pick one and forfeit the other, unless you lose early on

I already know how I want to line up the Console tournaments. But you’re saying that I should talk to the PC VP and try and setup a time table that will complement both sides of the LAN?

.It might have to end up being just one tournament that it allotted more time than the others. Yes it takes more time but that way no one has to give up a tourney.

In the past it was worked out as a group with between the execs and CLs so that the games that pull people from the other side fall between times for the other side. If nothing else make sure the major PC tournament falls during one of the lesser console tournaments and vice versa, that way the people who want to play the big tournaments for both can.

I will keep that in mind then. Thanks for the advice Mitch.
